Frontend Developer (PHP/Laravel)

As a Front-End Developer, you will be a critical component and be afforded the opportunity to gain broad experience across varying facets of product development.

• Coding in HTML, CSS & Javascript
• Building interfaces using a modern framework (laravel)
• Working with the technical team to deliver end to end solutions
• Creating whole new features from scratch
• Managing several departments using a combination of shared code but with lots of customization
• Maintaining existing departments, both for desktop and mobile;
• Working with business, marketing, and creative staff to deliver great looking, well-targeted content;
• Involved in content editing;
• Sharing expertise and learning from others to keep improving as a team.

• A minimum of 3 years’ commercial experience in HTML, CSS3 & Javascript
• Expertise in HTML5 with semantics and reusable markup
• The ability to use CSS3 to produce clean, maintainable and reusable code
• An in depth knowledge of writing Javascript from scratch
• Good exposure to modern JavaScript libraries
• Familiarity with AJAX (XML and JSON) and a familiarity with asynchronous programming
• Exposure to server-side programming, ideally PHP will be considered an asset
• Basic knowledge of SQL with the ability to look up data in a database and make simple changes will be considered an asset
• Knowledge of MySQL will be considered a strong asset.
